For video input that can be processed Avidemux are: AVI, MPEG, WMV, ASF, MPEG-4, MOV (QuickTime), 3GP, MP4, OGM, and FLV (Flash Video). Nevertheless, not every file format can be in the process, because the video uses header compression or with certain codecs are not yet supported. As for the audio, supported formats include: AAC, AC3, MP3, MP2, Ogg vorbis and WAV.
Avidemux video output can be saved in various formats are: AVI, m1v/m2v, MPG / MPEG (VCD / SVCD / DVD), TS, OGM, MP4, MKV and FLV (flash video).
